Last Friday, (June 29, 2013), Mamie and Poppy took my sisters and me to Omaha, NE. We stayed in Hawthorne Suites, in Room 120.

When we got there at 3:00, Poppy checked in, and we headed to the
Omaha Children's Museum.
They had a new exhibit called A Bug's World so we explored and climbed through a caterpillar obstacle course. We got slushies at the Rainbow Cafe there. Then we left and went to Spaghetti Works for dinner.
The girls and I ordered spaghetti and meatballs (minus the sauce). We went to the salad bar and made our own salads. Mine composed of pasta salad, and potato salad. Afterwards, we went back to the hotel. Poppy and I went swimming in the hotel pool. Finally, we got into bed. Mamie and Poppy slept on the couch bed, my sisters on one of the double beds, and I slept in the other double bed. The next day, it was time to go to the
Zoo. But first, we had to go get batteries for my camera. We drove to the zoo, and rather than using words to tell about the zoo, i'll use pictures!

During the gorillas, the camera battery went dead. We went and had lunch at the zoo, and we rode the carousel. Then we hopped on the train, (before seeing two peacock up near the roof of the station), and rode down to the
Skyfari stop. You can only fit a maximum of three people on one of the booths, and Mamie didn't want to go, so Poppy and the girls rode on one booth, and rode with someone else. Then we got off and went to the indoor buildings. We went to the Insect and Butterfly Pavilion, the Lied Jungle, (Which was truly amazing), The Aquarium, and the Desert Dome. After a long day at the zoo, we finally went home. Then, we all went swimming, (after dinner), Finally we went back inside and watched TV. We went to bed, except the girls slept on the couch bed, Mamie and Poppy one double bed, and me on the other. The next morning, we went down and ate breakfast. Then, Poppy checked out, and we went to Lauritzen Gardens. Fortunately, we installed new batteries in the camera. Once again, the pictures:
